No patient left alone act

Jennifer’s Place finds allowing visitors important and encourages residents to socialize with friends and family members. Below are our visitation policies. 
  • Visiting hours are between 9AM-9PM.
  • All visitors are encouraged to sanitize hands upon entering the facility
  • Visitors are encouraged to wear a mask while in the facility.
  • Residents are allowed two (2) visitors at a time. Exceptions are family from out of town or specific given approval by the facility administrator on a case to case basis.
Visitation policies and procedures allow in-person visitations as desired and in all of the following circumstances, unless the resident objects: 
1. End of life situations. 
2. A resident who was living with family before being admitted to Jennifer’s Place is struggling with the change of environment. 
3. The resident is making one or more major medical decisions.
4. A resident it experiencing emotional distress or grieving the loss of a friend or family member who recently died.
5. A resident needs cueing or encouragement to eat or drink which was previously provided by a family member or caregiver.
6. A resident who used to talk and interact with others is seldom speaking.
